We had a great time meeting with Tween Library Council members during lunch today! A total of 57 students met today to plan great things and talk about awesome books. Each student had a chance to sign up for a committee and meeting date ... we have so many fun things planned this year! Sixth graders had a chance to watch a super exciting teaser trailer for a new mystery thriller set at the Biltmore Estate, Serafina and the Black Cloak. Seventh and Eight graders each had fun participating in a Book Speed Rating activity for their respective genres ... it was a fun way to get a great look at some new titles and challenge our first impressions! For the month of October, we'll be reading the following books/genres:
Students who missed today's meeting or who didn't have a chance to sign up for a committee should see Mrs. Keefer as soon as possible. A few committees will be meeting beforehand, but all of TLC will meet together again toward the end of October to discuss the books we read!
