Nearly 40 members of the Tween Library Council traveled to Columbia this morning. There, they joined over 2,000 students and community leaders at the South Carolina Read-In. Dubbed "South Carolina's Premier Children's Reading Event," the Read-In is a chance for students, parents, librarians, and community leaders to advocate for school libraries and the importance of reading. We had a great day - the sun was shining and everyone was smiling! Thank you to everyone who attended; you represented SMS well!
