Our very first Wonder Wednesday in the Mustang Makerspace is tomorrow! This month’s theme is 3D printing. Any students interested in learning how to use the software that controls the printer can come to the media center at lunch. Remember – you must still bring a signed agenda with you to attend. We will be learning how to use the TinkerCad software to design 3D items on the computer. See you then!
We currently have a 3 way tie for both 1st and 2nd place ... keep reading those books! Remember, you have until October 31st to turn in your log for a chance to read your way to the big game.
Springfield Middle is paying it forward by helping re-stock the shelves of school libraries whose collections were destroyed by recent Louisiana floods. The Tween Library Council and M.A.D.D. Club will be collecting and organizing book donations from September 19-30th. Any donations of new or like new elementary and middle grade level books are welcome. Mustang Cup points are at stake for the top three teams! See Mrs. Keefer with any questions.
Our Read Your Way to the Big Game contest is ramping up … are you up for the challenge? Your homeroom teacher will be giving you a reading log and a bookmark this morning and you have until October 31st to read and log 6 books. Once you’ve read all 6 and had your parent sign your reading log, you can redeem it for a contest entry card that will earn you a chance to win tickets to see USC take on Clemson at the Palmetto Bowl. In the coming weeks, your homeroom will also be challenged to decorate your doors and create videos to promote the Read Your Way to the Big Game contest. Mustang Cup points will be awarded for most creativity and for homerooms with the most contest participants. We want every single student to participate! See Mrs. Keefer with any questions. |
